Lightroom randomly deleting photos from one album

I opened up lightroom looked into one of my folders and watched as the number of photos quickly diminished, going from 50 photos in the album to 9. I restarted lightroom and then again were the 9 photos, clicked on the album and it started getting rid of photos again. Some of these photos I dont have copies of. Some were from a sd card that got corrupted somehow when i pluged them into lightroom and 20 out of 160 photos were saved and now those 20 photos are gone. I tried to reupload the sd card with the photos to get those 20 back, and now theyre all corrupted. What the heck. What just happened???
