Lightroom recent update

The most recent update of lightroom (as of 18/07/21) seems to have a lot of bugs on my windows laptop. it wont import files, its very slow and often shuts itself down as it isn't responding - is anyone else having these issues with the latest version? If so do you have any fixes?
