Lightroom Services API: read access to original files for a partner integration

Hello,

We develop photo and video apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac. We would like Lightroom subscribers, after signing in with their Adobe ID and giving consent, to browse their own cloud library in our app and open the original of a photo, including camera raw files, to edit it on their device. The files would stay on the device, and we would only read the catalog, never change it.

The API documentation lists PUT for /assets/{asset_id}/master and JPEG renditions up to fullsize. In July 2024 an Adobe employee wrote in the developer community that Lightroom did not offer an API to download originals, and that this could be considered as a future enhancement: https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/adobe-developer-questions/how-to-retrieve-original-file-with-lightroom-api/td-p/672952

1. Is that still the case?
2. If not, how can an integration request read access to originals?
3. If so, who at Adobe should we talk to about this as a partner? We can share details privately.

Thank you.
