Question

Lightroom Shared Album is "Unavailable"

Hi everybody!

I have a question about my Lightroom shared albums.

When I was in college, I had access to Adobe for free, and I used my college email account to create many albums. Before I graduated, I shared each of the albums with my personal account so that I could still have access to them. They worked initially! However, now when I try to open any of them, I get this message:

“This shared album is currently unavailable. Please contact the album owner for more information.”

I know that my college account is the “owner”, but I can’t log into adobe using the college account anymore. How can I restore (?) or find these photos? We are talking 20+ albums with hundreds of photos each.

I tried calling adobe support and they hung up on me twice after I had completed all the “press x for y” options.

Any tips? Answers? Are they gone forever?  I still have all the raws from most of those shoots but I didn’t download all the edited photos- I mostly shared them with others for them to download.

In order to get access to those photos, you will need your former school to agree that you can have those photos released to you.  Please contact the school’s account administrator and get that agreement, and then let us know - we can help coordinate.
