Lightroom stopped saving edits

On about my 5th edit lightroom stopped saving edits and all that downloads when I try to save them is the original picture.

Can you still see the edits in Lightroom or is it just when you export they disappear?

Also, can you see the edits in the Versions panel?

Plus, what kind of edits are they?
