Lightroom stuck at in progress message

Question

my LR is not responding , it was stuck with "checking space on the disk"trying to add pics from my desktop, and even after click "x" to cancel , it is stuck in "cancelling" of 4 attemps , 4 activities are in progress , I cannot close LR , I cannot restart the computer.
can anyone help?

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about the difficulty importing images in Lightroom desktop as it's stuck calculating the available disk space.

How many images are you trying to import and how long is it taking to import? Do you mean that the import never finishes and you have to choose " X " to cancel the import process?

Also can you go to Help>System Info and get us the currently installed version number of Lightroom?
