Lightroom Sync Issue

Hello 🙂

I have just transferred using Migration Assistant from my old MacBook Pro to my new MacBook Pro. In Lightroom, on my new MacBook Pro, I am now getting the following Error...

'Unable to Move Some Photos'

Offline Source Volumes

Macintosh HD is offline. Unable to move photos

Any tips/advice/help would be much appreciated... Adobe agents haven't been able to help despite screen sharing.

THANKS so much,

-Pommegirl

Hey, @Pommegirl. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll help you figure this out.

If you're able to get past the error screen, please share the screenshot of the options below from Preferences.

Try these suggestions:

  • Ensure Lightroom has the required permissions on macOS:https://adobe.ly/3WfrQf2
  • Log on to Lightroom Web (https://adobe.ly/3XVZmIp) & ensure everything is synced & backed up before you proceed further.
  • Choose Go > Go To Folder in the Finder window and type ~/pictures. Locate a bundle named Lightroom Library.lrlibrary.
  • Right-click or control-click this bundle and choose Show Package Contents. You'll find a folder inside it with a long cryptic string of numbers and letters (for example: d1a4f88d2b534c7d91022136fd182532). Open that folder.
  • In the folder, move out all the files named Managed Catalog.[anything] to the mac's desktop. Also, delete the Previews.db file.
  • Launch Lightroom.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!
