Lightroom v8.2.2 62B77A/30 on iPad v16.3.1 is no longer importing photos from files

Hi,

 

This was working fine last Sunday but I now can't add photos from files, although from the camera roll is working ok. I've checked privacy and settings and I see two Lightroom's listed as shown. If I click the disabled one, it immediately turns off and can't be enabled. If I toggle the enabled one, it removes the second and can be turned on. 

The only thing I can think of that's changed is that I created a group of apps on the desktop that included Lightroom. I've now removed that group and Lightroom is independent again. I've also tried reinstalling Lightroom and rebooting the iPad but it's still not working.

 

Looking forward to suggestions...

Hello @Matthew289223660azx 

Does it help to toggle off both LR permissions, and then toggle back on?  In the past, toggling both off seemed to reduce the settings to just one switch.  It wasn't clear despite your steps mentioned to me.

 

Also, are going through Files to import images that are really on your SD card or other attached storage?  Does it help to import directly from the storage device instead of going through the Files interface?

Hi, I've tried both switches and the files from both an SSD and local to the iPad but no luck.

 

I did make a bit of progress though... the files I wanted to copy were raw files from my camera that had been copied to Windows and then to the iPad. Oddly they don't work but out of curiosity I tried captureone's capture folder contents and they do work 🤷‍♂

 

I'll try a straight copy from the camera and see what happens.

I've also got 193Gb free space on the iPad and a 1Tb storage subscription with lots of free space.

Just to add... when trying to import from files, it looks like it's doing it and it goes through the process but there's nothing new in the library. I've tried single photos and over 700 and it's still the same.
