Lightroom v8.2 (not classic) problems with subject, background and in masking. AI denoise pixelates

Question

I am having problems with Lightroom v8.2, 20250201-0700-1b12095 Build when it comes to recognizing "subject", "background" and "object" in masking. This includes new masking when editing new files and then when reviewing edits and further editing of previous files. In the latter case, previous "subject" masks have disappeared.

I also experience pixelating when doing AI denoise.

Hey, @rbaar. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

Please share the system info from Lightroom Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload & attach here.

Are you working in the Lightroom view, or the Local view? Has this started to happen since a recent update for Lightroom, or Windows?

Test some variables like:

Unplug any external peripherals & use wired input devices.
Temporarily, unplug extra displays & only keep one active at a time.
