Lightroom v9.1 slow performance

There has to be a memory leak in Lightroom version 9.1. It runs incredibly slow after a while, with significant input lag. This should not be the case for the hardware that I'm running this version on.

 

To reproduce, just let the application idle for an extended period of time, then try and use it by applying various settings to an image. The input delay is significant.

App Version: Lightroom version: 9.1 x64 [ 20251204-1659-82a72fd ] (Dec 4 2025)

Platform and OS: x64, Windows 11

System info:

Hi @bralpdx, welcome to the community!
We haven’t been able to reproduce this issue on our side yet. When you get a moment, try going to Edit > Preferences > Performance and temporarily disabling GPU acceleration. If the issue goes away with the GPU turned off, that would point to a GPU‑related problem.
If that’s the case, try rolling back to an earlier driver version to see if it helps. And if you’re currently using Game Ready drivers, switching to the Studio drivers can sometimes make a big difference with creative apps.

Hello Alek,

Apologies for the delay in response. So far I have tried the following
without success.
- Set GPU acceleration to off
-- Arguably slower performance
- Downgraded drivers
-- Same issue
- Upgraded drivers
-- Same issue
- Creative Drivers
-- Same issue

Something is causing a hang, and it's borderline unusable at this point for
sessions longer than 30 minutes.
