Question

Lightroom version 8.4

After using 'Reduce Noise, in the program Lightroom , version 8.4 crashes. I have to close and restart it to continue. 'Reduce Noise' stops working after a few tries. It's not possible to improve the photo anymore.
I'm now back to using the previous version of Lightroom. I didn't have these problems in that version.

Kind regards,
Andre Buimer

Hi @Peaceful_artistry0962, I'm just checking in to see if you are still running into this issue? Let us know how things are going. Happy to keep troubleshooting with you if needed. Thanks! ^CH

Dear Claire,

I still have the same problem with Lightroom. The 'noise reduction' does not work and I have to shut the program and start it again.
It looks like that it does work sometimes, but I can not detect when it does and when it doesn't.

I decided to take the Photography membership. In CameraRaw I don not have this problem.

Hey, @Peaceful_artistry0962. Thanks for the quick update. We couldn't find a crash report in the account you've used for Community. As asked by @Noel Orridge, please share the system information from Lightroom Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

The Denoise feature set relies on the graphics processor on your machine, and troubleshooting the GPU drivers can be the first step in mitigating the errors you notice. Please follow the steps here: https://adobe.ly/4lW7zWn

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Hi @Peaceful_artistry0962, Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the community!

Please share more information about the issue, like your system configuration. From Help> System Info> copy and paste it into a text file and attach it to your response. Are you getting any error codes or messages when the application crashes? Does this happen while working with certain photos, or does it happen randomly?

Thanks a bunch!

Noel
