Lightroom won’t import any new photos after update

So I have never had this problem before, but after this new update Lightroom refuses to import any new photos. It is nothing in my phone settings preventing it. It allows me to go through my photos, but when I select one to import and edit it will just load and load and load. Nothing will ever open though. I can edit any photos already imported, but it freezes every single time I attempt to use a new photo. 
I'm using the app on an iPhone 12 Pro
