Lightroom won’t let me edit in photoshop

Question

I usually begin my edits in Lightroom (not classic) and then edit in photoshop. For the past few months it's been getting slower and slower to open. Now today it says 'downloading original' for 2 min and then a message appears 'edit in photoshop failed'. What can I do to fix this? All my creative cloud is updated.

Sorry about the trouble with Lightroom while trying to edit the images in Photoshop. We're here to help.

Which version of Lightroom (Cloud-Based), Photoshop, and operating system are you using? Is it happening with all images or a particular image?

Did you try any troubleshooting steps so far?

Try re-installing the application if not tried yet, but before doing it, check if all the assets are correctly synced or not HERE.
