Lightroom won't quit!

When I try to quit Lightroom, I see a small blue window saying “Closing…” but Lightroom does not quit. The application continues to function BEHIND the little blue message window. If I leave my MacBook for an hour Lightroom still has not quit. The only way is to force quit.

    Hey, @sebadee77. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. What version of Lightroom & the macOS are you working on? 

     

    Has this started to happen since a recent update or a significant batch edit, import, or export? If you're working on a Lightroom desktop, is cloud sync enabled & finished? 

     

    Force quitting via Activity Monitor on the macOS can cause instability of Lightroom's database & catalogs. 

     

    As a primary troubleshooting step, ensure Lightroom or Lightroom Classic has the required permissions on the macOS: https://adobe.ly/3TjIclv
