Link to SD Card gone

When I loaded lightroom on android the device had a storage error. I removed and reinserted the SD Card but now all my photos are smart previews and unsynced photos are gone. My SD Card still shows used space but I cannot locate the photos. How to i relink the photos with the SD so that I do not need to download the original for each export and readd the lost photos.
