Hello!

I just wanted to upgrade ligthroom from my installed version 5.7 to the actual version 7.4.1.

When I tried to impot the catalog I got an "(Fehlercode: TOO_OLD_VERSION)" error message.

Please can you give me advise, how I could possibly get all of my "old" cataloge into a new Lightroom?

Thank you for your advice!
Best regards

Robert

So is this the new Lightroom 5.something which is likely 2-3 years old, or the Lightroom 5.something from over a decade ago? Do you pay by subscription for this Lightroom 5.something, or is it a single time purchase?

I am guessing, please confirm, that you have the very old Lightroom 5.7 (let's say more than a decade old, single purchase not subscription) and you want to upgrade it to the current Lightroom Classic version 13.4 (which is the successor to the very old Lightroom 5.7), and not the cloud-centric Lightroom 7.4.1 (which is not the successor to Lightroom 5.7). But maybe you really do want to use the cloud-centric Lightroom 7.4.1.

Yes, it is confusing.

It is a desktop versoin 5 from 2013.

I would like to upgrade to a current lightroom version (I just downloaded the trial verion which was 7.4.1). I want to stey with the desktop variant, no cloud needed so far 🙂
I hope this is the information you need, would be great to import my old files. Thank's a lot for your help!

You've indicated that the application is not Classic. Therefore, I've moved your thread to the Lightroom Ecosystem forum.
