Locate external editing preferences in Lighhroom 4.1

Question

In lightroom classic, there is a preference for adding external editing software, other than photoshop.  Does anyone know how to change external editing preferences in Lightroom 4.1? I've looked everywhere and don't see any options for doing this.

You can't change the preferences at all, and certainly cannot add additional external editors. Only Photoshop can be used as an external editor, and the preferences for that are fixed.
