Location info not preserved when using 'add border and share' IOS

Hi there, 

 

I really like the 'add borders and share' feature to add a white border to images. But i've notcied that the exported images no longer contain location information and I can't seem to find an option to preserve this. 

 

I can see that if I use 'export as' I can enable an option to include the location info, but of course I'm not getting the border if I use this option. 

 

Is there something I'm missing please?

A developer confirmed: "This is currently by design. We use default settings for the output file format, metadata, and other export options when using the add border option."

The developer said it's also a possibility to add the border feature to one of the customizable export options like Export As..  This would have to be prioritized by product mgmt.
