Long load time for photos

Hi there

re: LR Cloud, run on Windows 11

I've been away from LR for a while and have found it very buggy since using it again.

Photos take about 7 seconds to load in full.

Operation overall is je

Often I wish to do some quick edits it crashes.

Other complaints:

The grid is gone from "rotate".

 

This is the first time ever that I've found using LR a frustrating experience.

 

What's going on here ?

The grid being missing from Transform is a bug in 5.4, should hopefully be fixed in the next release.

 

For the rest... what are your system specs? Crashing is often down to the graphics card driver, so checking the manufacturer's website for an updated driver would be a great place to start.

Thank you for the reply Victoria.

I uninstalled LR, rebooted, re-installed, rebooted again and operation is discerningly better.  I never had crash issues before, and have been on LR for 2 years now.  Every time it crashed, I was asked to send a report which I did.  I wonder what you did with all those reports 😉

Question: can one install an earlier version, if you liked it more ?

Oh we love problems that solve themselves. I don't work for Adobe so I have no idea what happened to those reports. Yes it's possible to go back to an earlier version, here's how: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/roll-back-update-previous/ Hopefully you won't need to though!
