Lost ability to save versions of photos in Lr

Help!  I used to be able to save versions of my photos in Lightroom and now I cannot.  Even when I try to do it using Shift+CTRL+S it allows me to enter the version name and "Create" but the new version does not show up anywhere.  :S  This all happened after I ran the update yesterday (Dec 15 2023).

Because your post was posted to the wrong forum and then moved here, the platform you are using is lost.  Can you confirm Mac or Windows, OS Version and Lightroom Version you are using.

Note: I just tested this on Mac Sonoma and the shortcut is working fine.

I am on a PC using Windows. This is what I'm seeing when I go into Versions. The naming convention I was using is gone (everything is called Desktop) and when I still use Shift / Ctrl / S and "create" a version, it doesn't appear.

You are in Auto - not Named versions. Do you see what you are expecting when you click on "Named"?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
