Question

Lost ALL my Lightroom Albums after Migration

I had to register a new Adobe Account and then updated Lightroom CC. Now, ALL my albums are GONE. Years worth of work just disappeared. Please someone tell me that there is a place where the Album metadata is stored and I can recover all of my years of work. 😞

I am using Windows 10.

Your data in the cloud is linked to your AdobeID account - there's no other way to do that with personal accounts.

If you need to use a new/different account, the data cannot automagically be moved forward.

You need to contact Adobe support for that. Come back here if that is not successful.

What @F. McLion said is correct, but I'm a bit unclear as to what you have lost. You mention albums and album metadata, but what about your actual image files? Do you still have those, or are they gone also?

According to this article - https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/cancel-subscription.html - you should still be able to login to your old account and get download access to your images (see attached extract from that article), which I assume would also include the album organisation.

Here's what's happening.

  1. I was using another profile account when editing all my photos in Lightroom v6.2
  2. For billing and admin purposes, I have to use a different adobe profile account going forward.
  3. I need to migrate my albums from the old account to the new one.

Both are valid paid active accounts, I just need my albums (the albums in the left most pane) moved to my new account including the adjustments, masks, and all the hours of work that went into those images.

How do I do that??
