Question

lost all my saved and created presets and photos in the app after an update

I am have a serious issue with Lightroom on my mobile device. All the preset collections that I previously created or saved from the community have disappeared, and I am also unable to see my previously edited photos. This issue happened after an update that I was prompted to do on 11th December. After going back into the app after the update, everything had disappeared.

Details:

Device: Samsung S21 FE

Lightroom Version: 11.1.1

Problem:

All my custom presets and preset collections are missing. Previously edited photos are not visible in the app. The issue occurred after the last update done in the app on 11th December 2025.

Already done: I have checked the recycle bin and all folders and sections within the app, but nothing has reappeared.

I have spent a lot of time creating these presets, and I use them for my work and photography. I would appreciate your urgent help in recovering my presets and photos.

Thanks.

Hi @Lark_Stanners7191,

Thanks for your patience, and I've received your DM.

I checked the Adobe ID associated with the Outlook email you used to log in to the community, and I don't see any usage in the cloud under that account. That usually indicates one of two things:

• The data was created under a different Adobe ID in the past
• Or the data was stored only locally on the device (which can happen with the free version)

Here's what I recommend next:

• Please go to https://adobe.ly/4pevGQX on a browser
• Try signing in with any other email address you may have used previously (Google login, older email, etc.)
• If the photos or presets exist under another Adobe ID, they should appear there immediately if it were synced to the cloud.

Important note:
• Avoid repeatedly signing in with different email IDs inside the Android app itself. Logging in with the wrong account multiple times can overwrite or disconnect local data.

Also, please check this on your phone:
• Go to Phone Settings > Apps > Lightroom > Storage
• Let us know if there is still a significant amount of local data present or if it shows close to zero

Please share any email addresses you recall using with the Lightroom application via direct message.

Once we know whether the data exists under another Adobe ID or was local, we'll know better.

Best regards,
Anshul Saini

Thanks for replying.

I have never logged into Adobe with any other email address and have never logged out of this account.

The outlook email I used to sign into the community is the same email address I have only ever used to sign in to lightroom mobile app.

I checked my internal storage and the attached picture shows this as 10.12 GB in total.

Hope this helps to fix the issue 🙂

Are you using the free version of Lightroom Mobile, or are you a paid subsciber? If you are using the free version, did you remove the app before downloading and installing the update?

There appears to be a bug in the forum sofware which is preventing URL image attachments from showing, so can you repost the screenshot by using the "Insert Photo" icon for in in-line attachment in your forum reply box, as per this:

I'm using the free version.

The app was a lightroom update, not an android or phone update. I went into the app to do some editing but a Playstore update for the app popped up.
