Lost all photos after logging back in to student account

Hadn't used lightroom in about 2 weeks. I logged back onto my University account through adobe and noticed my profile picture had changed. 

I had about 1.5k photos stored on lightroom and the number showed up for a few seconds then everything went blank almost as if it was a whole new account.

Has this happened to anyone and is there a way I could get the photos back?
