Lost All Photos After Switching Adobe Accounts – Need Immediate Restoration

Hi Adobe Support,

I am in the middle of a crisis and urgently need help recovering my photos. I recently switched Adobe accounts, attempting to export all of my original photos from my previous account  so that I could import them into my new account (). However, when I logged back into my original account, I discovered that all of my photos are gone!

I had hundreds of thousands of photos stored in the cloud—representing my entire life’s work as a photographer and content creator. These images are invaluable to me, and I need them restored as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I do not see any option to restore them myself, and I am panicking about the possibility of permanent loss.

Could you please assist me with:

1. Confirming whether my photos are still retrievable from Adobe’s servers?

2.Restoring my full photo library as it was before this issue occurred?

3.Understanding why my photos disappeared and how I can safely transfer them to my new account without data loss?

This is extremely urgent for me, as these images are irreplaceable. I appreciate any guidance or immediate action that can be taken to resolve this. Please let me know how I should proceed.

Thank you in advance.

Hey, @Java318520266pwa. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I've reviewed your account used for the Community and the details you shared in your post. I've also redacted your email from your post. I'll help you figure this out.

You have two profiles (Business and personal) for each of your accounts. In the previous account, you might still have your data in the Business profile, which does not have an active subscription. The subscription is active in the personal profile of the previous account.

You can learn more about Profiles in your account here: https://adobe.ly/4bhF5l9;

You can use the Incognito browser window to log in to Lightroom Web (https://adobe.ly/4bhaHrb), and at the sign-in stage, you can use the business profile. However, there isn't an account-level option that you can use to move your data from one account to another. You'll have to use Lightroom downloader: https://adobe.ly/3Xr2Roq

Also, you will need to export Lightroom Edit presets manually from the Presets tab by right-clicking and choosing 'Export presets.'

You can also use this workaround shared by our expert to help speed up the migration from one account to the other: https://adobe.ly/4bdvDPW

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Some additional guidance -- your business login is showing as having an expired subscription, so you are now only seeing your personal account, which does have a subscription but has no data.  Please consult with your business to see if you can get your subscription renewed.  That is probably the best/fastest way to resolve this.
