Question

LR and external Hard Drive

I have numerous Apple Photolibraries, photos, and videos. I have consolidated some to a specific external HD. I am using this HD to transfer to LR. The rest are on numerous old hard drives.

I am using MacPro2018Ventura and LaCie 4TB external Hd attached to my MacPro.

How do I access the libraries to LR?

Which Lightroom are you using, Lightroom Classic or Lightroom? They manage images differently, so it matters.

Light Room for now. I am new so if one has issues, I could switch.

My main focus is to gather all of my photos and videos into one central program.

It is just, that  I have years of media and do not want to loose any of them.

Thanks

Lightroom manages images and video on a cloud server. Click the Add button and navigate to the location of the images on your external drive. Adding images uploads them to the cloud. You will only have access to the content in Lightroom as long as you have an active subscription.
