LR Classic library unrecognisable

 LR Classic on Apple, the library is on an ext hdd. I made a copy of the library on a 2nd ext hdd using DropSync. How do I make the copy recognizable to LR? PLEASE help

Lightroom Classic uses a catalog, not a library. Lightroom desktop uses a local cache called Lightroom Library. Is it possible you are trying to open that Lightroom desktop cache in Lightroom Classic? That obviously won't work.
