Question

LR (cloud) not importing pix from iPhone Photos or the LR Camera on iPhone

This is much discussed so I apologize in advance but cannot seem to find solution to my problem.

I recently switched from LRClassic to LR 5.2 & imported all my pictures (29,000) from LRClassic. I take pictures with iPhone 13 Mini. No pictures ever import to my Mac, but I would lke them to. Just can't get it to work with Photos or the Lightroom Camera.

If there are simple step-by-step directions for setting this up I can't find them. I find much discussion (often conflicting) but no straight forward step-by-step. If these are available it would be helpful (to many, I suspect) to set them out here. It would certainly help me as I want to import A FEW photos from my Apple Photos colection and all my photos taken with the LR camera on the iPhone.

Many thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

If you are signed in with the same account details as Lightroom Desktop, then any Photos taken with the Lr Camera will sync to the Cloud and should sync to Desktop.

Likewise, any photos will sync to the Cloud from Lightroom Mobile that you add manually via either the three dot ellipsis or the add photos icon in the blue floating lozenge (from within the app). You don't want to set Lightroom Mobile to auto import as this will import all of your Camera Roll photos.

To try to ascertain where the problem lies....

Check login details are identical.

In Lightroom Mobile tap the cloud icon and ensure syncing is not paused.

In a browser, log into http://lightroom.adobe.com/ (to check if your photos within Lightroom Mobile on the iPhone have synced to the Cloud).

In Lightroom Desktop check that syncing is not paused there.

Maybe also check if you have enough Cloud Storage in your quota - assume your quota is at least 1TB.

Apart from that, I can't immediately think of anything else to suggest at the moment.
