HI,

I used to have LR Classic on my PC, I now use a Macbook.

All my LR Cloud images are now importing onto my Macbook, 1000's of them in Mobile downloads... I'm gonna run our of space soon...

Why has it imported everything into Classic?

What I want to do is import a days shoot into Classic, create a collection after editing then sync that collection with LRCloud...  which is what I did before.

I can't understand why I now have all my Cloud images importing under a folder called From Lightroom, and storing a copy can I turn this off?

I still want to sync collections at my chosing?

You can sync collections of your choosing from LrC to the cloud, but when you start syncing a new LrC catalog with the cloud you can't stop whatever is already in the cloud from downloading into that new catalog. There is no selective syncing from the cloud to LrC, a copy of every image that gets added to the cloud from any of the Lightroom apps will automatically download into the current LrC synced catalog.

Regarding the "Mobile Downloads.lrdata" package, that is the default location that LrC will use to store the images downloaded from the cloud. You can change the location of that downloads folder via the LrC Preferences>Lightroom Sync tab, though it would have been better to do that before you started syncing the LrC catalog. If you change location now, LrC should offer to move all the images in Mobile Downloads to the newly designated folder.

Thank you Jim.

As an older Classic user, then Cloud appeared, I wasn't used it it suncing all Cloud images, until I started a new catalogue on a new laptop!

Wish I had done my research re the "Mobile Downloads.lrdata" location first!!!

I will move that eventually, once it's stoped syncing 11k images 🙂

Thankfully it wasm't what was already on my other PC. 111k !!!!!
