Lr freezing when I copy and paste

My lr freezes everytime I copy or paste edits on to another photo. I have tried updating lr, updating computer, updating drivers, turning gpu off, uninstalling and reinstalling lr. copy onto new catalog, turning computer off and on, deleting unwanted stuff, nothing works.
