LR Mobile: Long pressed imported images aren't deleting since update

Long-pressed images are not deleting since I updated Lightroom Mobile app on Android. Deleted images aren't even been transferred to the 'Deleted' album where they are normally queued for 30 days (where I usually manually delete, often to free up some device storage).

I see the usual pop-up windows during the image selection and delete process, but as mentioned before deleted images remain in the album and nothing is transferred to the designated ‘Delete’ (queue) album. NOTE: I’m a Lightroom Mobile Premium subscriber and i’ve never encountered this problem before prior to the latest update.

Sidenotes: *Carried out an app uninstall/reinstall (and log in) to correct the bug. This didn't work, in addition to losing 300+ projects , and a ton of work (with live masks etc) because I run the app through the local device storage option. The lot wasn't synced.

*I don't sync my phone storage to Lightroom, or when I import. My imported projects are storage intensive ie. alot of digital art files (as well as high res Nikon camera Raws) which are massive. I usually double back-up/save finished projects to micro sd and USB flash drive, and then delete from the album within the app . My back catalogue (device storage) to the cloud would chew up a ton of my mobile data allowance in one go (will likely chew up my entire 100g limit) and the sync process itself is painfully slow. So the cloud storage option is unfeasible - just not practical.

*I reported the bug via the LR app.

Hoping the aforementioned issue (ie. deleting imported images) is just a temporary bug which crept in via the latest update, and it simply can be patched away in the next update. Otherwise from a storage management standpoint (because I run it through my device), if i can only delete ‘synced’ images now, Lightroom will become unusable.

Thought i’d leave this query in the Bug section, as opposed in the normal ‘Question’ part of the website, where I framed a previous post as a “has anybody encountered this issue (since the last update)” query where it will likely disappear into the void unanswered because i’m hoping an LR/Abobe engineer will maybe answer as this ‘issue’ has only popped up since I updated the app (on the 22nf of June).

Hey, @UnrulyMonk & @Vick+noguez. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

Please share more details, such as the Lightroom version, mobile OS details, and short video recordings of your workflow in Lightroom.

    Thanks!

    Hi @Sameer K

I can't provide video. But I can attach screenshots.

    System Info…

Lightroom Mobile Android Version 11.4.2 (latest update downloaded a couple of days ago)

    Android Version 13 (Samsung S20)

I run locally through my device storage, meaning I don't sync to the cloud. This is how i’ve always run Lightroom Mobile Premium since day one. Occasionally I’ll enable the cellular data option to download/or use a newly released or improved tool when prompted.

Worth noting again i’ve never encountered this problem before, with previous versions prior to this update .

Two attachments show the usual pop-up windows, including the selected imported image, from the attempted delete. But it's not removed from the album, and there's the screenshot showing my trash bin which is empty (where deleted images are normally queued)

I've tried troubleshooting a solution via a thread on this website from about 2 years ago, including restarting phone and forcestopping the app. Also double-checked my preferences and settings. Hasn't solved the problem.

Never encountered this before, prior to the latest update. Hopefully the engineers are working on a solution, if it is a bug that has accudentally crept in with the update.

I have a case number (spoke to somebody at Adobe, on the phone) if anybody from Tech Support stumbles upon this post.
