LR mobile - Settings could not loaded when exporting

Anyone else experiencing this frustrating loop - effectively renders LRM for iPad useless to me - seems to be a bug with the latest version.

After rendering for export flags a red message ' Settings could not be loaded - 2 of 21 photos have settings that are not fully synced....

I don't sync before export - never have - why suddenly does it need to???
