LR not applying Filters, Copy + Paste Settings, Deleting, etc

Lightroom is not responding to almost anything I usually do. When I try to apply a filter (Picked, Rejected, Unflagged) it will say "rejected" or whatever I choose but will not actually apply it. Similarly, if I copy and paste edits, it will say it was applied, but doesn't actually apply them. Same thing with deleting photos. I'll delete a batch as usual and it will say "X number of photos deleted" but they are still there. I've tried rebooting LR, restarting my computer, resetting preferences. HELP! I can't get anything done.
