LR not linking or syncing ???

Hi folks. Have been using both LR/LR Classic on my laptop for a while. Of late have been doing simple edits on my jobs using just the LR version. Yesterday I opened LR, and under the 'Cloud' tab, I see no photos in my 'All Photos' tab (there were a few thousand), nor do I see anything when I go to the top and click on the 'Local' tab. Nothing at all, no drives, no branches out of folders, absolutely zero. I have closed LR down and restarted a few times. I have also reloaded the whole Adobe Cloud Suite and opened LR once done, but still nothing. Is there a missing connection between LR and where it should be pointing to to find catalog/files etc?? Im a computer gumby so go easy pls lol !! I just need basic steps to try out and correct hopefully.
