LR on iPhone no DNG export

LR on my iPhone 11 Pro won't export DNG files as DNG - changes then tp jpeg. How can I fix this.

Check that you actually have the original available, not a smart preview (if the image was originally synced from Lightroom Classic, it will indeed only be a smart preview in the cloud). If you only have a smart preview in the cloud, LrM does indeed only export as a Jpeg. If you do have the original in the cloud, but only the smart preview on the phone, AND the original cannot be downloaded for some reason, you will again only get a Jpeg on export.

Hi there, I'll help you figure this out. I'll need some more info. What version of Lightroom & iOS are you working on? What export settings are you using?

That article is wrong. DNG is also an option in the Export As settings dialog. In fact it's often the best option to use for edited proprietary raw files, as the edit metadata is included in the DNG's XMP block, unlike the "Original" option which does NOT include edit and other image metadata. See the attached screenshot from my iPhone:
