LR says it's syncing a number of files forever, searching for them yields no results

I think this is a bug and not user error.

The title pretty much says it all.  For months LR has been saying it's syncing 35 files.  Clicking on View leads to a black hole. 

This doesn't hurt anything that I can see but it would be good to make it stop.

Any ideas?
