Hi everyone,

I'm using the latest version of Lightroom, and I'm running into a serious issue when trying to export JPEGs with Content Credentials enabled.

When I leave the Content Credentials option checked in the export module, nothing happens. The export doesn't start, and I get no error message – it just silently fails. I’ve had to completely uncheck the Content Credentials option to make the export work at all.

On top of that, I’m also seeing this warning on the pictures I want to export:

  • "Certain images require AI settings to be updated before export."

Everything was working fine a few weeks ago. I used to export with my credentials (name, Behance, edit history, linked wallet) without issue.

Is this a known bug with the latest update? Or do I need to update something manually in my edits or metadata? Or a complete reinstallation? Or something else?

Thanks in advance for any help or insight!
Stef

Correct answer stefposs

Hi @stefposs! Thanks so much for the screenshots and the update.

It looks like your issue might be related to something the team is already looking into. Just to help narrow it down, are you seeing this happen with just that one photo, or is it affecting all of them? If the only edits you made were removing objects on the floor, a possible workaround for now could be to try the healing tool instead of generative remove.

For the Content Credentials issue, I'm trying to investigate deeper into that, but if you have a deadline coming, you may want to test if exporting your image through Lightroom Mobile works so you can get the photo out before the end of the week. It has the option to export with content credentials, and it should be included in your Lightroom subscription.
Thanks!

Alek

Hi  @Aleke , you know what? Juste before reading your answer I uninstalled/reinstalled LR Mobile on my smartphone. And then something happened on the picture : a button to press and udpdate AI settings. Actually it seems that I set a litltle bit of lens blur but didn't notice it in the output. So I waited for the process to finish, then wnet back to LR Cloud > wow it worked!

Not the Credentials however, I don't know why. But it's no importance for now 😊

I hope the the team will fix this issue which is really a big pain point.

Anyway thanks for your big help!

Stef

Hi @stefposs! Welcome to the community!

I tested this on my side and the Content Credentials export seems to be working fine for me. Is this happening with every image on your end?

As a first step, we can try resetting the Lightroom preferences. This will return the app to its default state in case something internal is not working quite right. Here is how to do that: https://adobe.ly/44lnLZC

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.

Hi @Aleke thanks for your kind message. I tried your solution with no effects
When I set the contents credentials I go this error and the pictures doesn't export

And when I uncheck the content credentials checkbox, I can export export the picture but I still have the message: "

  • "Some pictures require AI settings to be updated before export."

And then the pictures is exported but I'm not sure if every parameter I uses (for example mask on the sky) is applied on the output picture...

And I went on Reddit, on some other forums, I asked to some AI like Perplexity to make deepsearch on this topic and I never found the beginning of a solution.
If you have any other idea you'd be welcomed 🙂

Hi @stefposs! Thanks so much for the screenshots.

Sometimes Content Credentials won’t apply if the file is over 20MB. Could you double-check the file size just in case? It can also run into issues if there are already other credentials attached that are too large to store in the cloud.

To help us look into the "some pictures require AI settings to be updated before export" more closely, could you let me know what specific AI edits you’re making to the photos?

Thanks a bunch
Alek
