LRC 10 crashed and now is in a loop

I am running the latest version of Lightroom Classic for about a week without any issues and suddenly after entering the name of a person and hiting "Enter" in the "People" screen the system gave me a message that Lightroom had to close, it then restarted saying that it had to check the catalog and then it went into a loop that I can't stop without doing a "forced quit" on my Mac.
