Main picture freezing

Question

Ever since the latest update, I'm constantly dealing with freezing during editing. The main picture I'm editing freezes, but I can see changes I make in the thumbnail. I can click to the next picture but the main picture doesn't change, but I can see edits to the thumbnail. I have to constantly close it down and restart. It's taking HOURS to accomplish anything. Anyone else having this issue??

Hi @Alaina_R0423,Thanks for reporting this and for clearly describing what you’re seeing. The behavior where the main image freezes while the thumbnails continue to update is not expected.To help narrow this down, please try the following quick checks: • Reset Lightroom (cloud-based) preferences on launch. Quit Lightroom, then relaunch it while holding Shift and Alt. Confirm the reset when prompted. • Temporarily disable GPU acceleration from Preferences > Performance, then restart Lightroom and test again. • Check whether this happens with newly imported photos or only with existing ones. • Sign out of Lightroom (Help > Sign Out), restart the app, sign back in, and allow sync to fully complete. • Share your system info from the Help menu (Help > System Info) by copying and pasting it here.
