Mask Brush tool error

Recently when attempting to use the Brush tool to identify a new mask or subtract/add for an existing mask, my system will force a line from my cursor to the left corner of my image. I have checked the flow and density, both are set at 100. This error occurs regardless of the size of the brush or oporating system (mobile or desktop). 

 

I have attached a screen recording of the issue for better clarity. 

 

I have not seen this error in any forum so far and I'm hoping it is a simple setting adjustment.

    I cannot replicate this but do have a quite a few questions:

    LrD Installed Version Number?
    LrMiOS Installed Version Number?

    It is unclear from your description if both the Windows instance and the iPhone instance are both painting incorrectly or if the Windows instance is painting incorrectly and the result is syncing to the iPhone. Can you clarify this?
