Question

Masking tool looks for people, always

I have Lightroom version 6.2. and the masking tool is always (well, most of the time) trying to find people from the photo. And when it doesn't find any, I can't use any other features. So, I can't use the masking tool.

Am I just stupid or have anyone had the same problem or some tips how to work through this?

Welcome to the Lightroom Community @TiinaH08. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

Please share the system info from Help > System Info > Copy & paste here. Does this happen with a specific range or kind of images?

Update & complete any pending Windows OS updates. If this does not help, please record your screen & workflow > upload the video to Creative Cloud files (https://assets.adobe.com/files) and share the link with us.

Thanks!

Moderator: please move this thread to the Lightroom ecosystem forum.

While waiting for the thread to be moved, can you tell us what happens when you try to use the other masking tools when no people have been detected? Perhaps you could also post a screenshot of the masking panel when in that situation?
