Metadata issue

I have been testing how best to add Metadata to my photos. I have run several different scenarios. Adding info in bridge for RAW photos then importing into cloud based LR and local LR. I also tried importing to PS and exporting, copying, and saving out of PS. My results showed that the Metadata added in Bridge did carry over into PS and also was included in the various methods of exporting, copying and saving. I also found that the Metadata added in Bridge did NOT copy over into LR in either case. I usually use LR for simple edits, but why would I use if it is going to erase the Metadata from Bridge. I could add some of the data from LR but it doesn't seem to have as many options, and I may lose consistency in labeling because of the ability to copy same info to multiple files in Bridge. 

I have checked export and import settings and don't believe that to be the issue. Is there a solution to this? Did Bridge ever work with LR? You would think they would. Let me know if I am missing something.
