Question

Misidentified duplicates while importing

I'm running Lightroom v8.2.1 on Android and some of my photos that were sent from my camera to my phone via Nikon Snapbridge are being misidentified as duplicates during the auto-import process, which hasn't happened before. My photos that I've taken directly with my phone or received/downloaded elsewhere is not affected.

The app would tell me that the photos are duplicates if I try and select them all by day or folder but will import them without issue if I select them individually or in small batches in some instances manually.

How do I fix this?

Hi @Eric28676156urur

Thanks for reaching out.

Where are the images located? Is it happening with jus RAW files from your Camera?

Can you try renaming a few of them and see if it helps?

We're here to assist just need a few details.

Internal Storage of my Android phone.

These are .jpeg files.

I've tried creating a new folder and trying to add the photos there to see what sort of photos will be imported if I selected everything I took yesterday (that wasn't imported) and it would seem that the app is pulling photos I took from sometime in the past with the same file name into this album.

Is there a way to resolve this misidentification within the app asides from forcing it to import via small batches manually or renaming them?
