Question

Missing file paths for moblie uploads

I am running the latest version of Lightroom Mobile / CC / and Classic. Last year my computer went out and I only had access to my Samsung tablet that I used to do all my photo editing. Using a SD card reader, I was able to import photos to Lightroom Mobile and from there I would do my edits. My understaning was that the original files were stored in Creative Cloud, but I do not know how to find that file path. Now that I have a laptop once again, in Lightroom Classic it shows that only the smart previews can be located but not the original files. How can I locate the file path for the original files? Thanks,

There is no file path in the cloud. If you uploaded the images on your tablet, then indeed the originals should be in the cloud. You can download them to Lightroom Classic by enabling sync of the Lightroom Classic catalog. In Preferences - Lightroom Sync you can specify where Lightroom Classic should store the downloaded images on your hard drive.

Thanks, so I followed your steps but still half of the photos say they are only previews, meaning that I still can't located the original file for about 500 of the photos. Any other ideas?

How did these photos get into the cloud? Were they uploaded from Lightroom Classic by any chance? If you sync a photo from Lightroom Classic to the cloud, then you will only sync a smart preview, not an original.
