"Missing" Images in Album when added

I am using Lightroom cc V.6.0 on a new HP15 8GB 256SSD with WIN 11.  I deleted all albums as well as emptied the deleted folder. I created a new album and added 78 new images to the album that I had just created.  Only 71 of the 78 images appeared in the album but all 78 were in the “All Photos” folder.  This is the second time that this has happened.  I only noticed it as, on both occasions, I was starting with all albums and folders empty.  Is this a bug in the software or an operator problem?

I am not able to replicate this issue.

You could try resetting the application preferences.

This procedure works for both Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Desktop.

If you are using Lightroom Desktop it can change the location of your local storage. Please review this setting after resetting preferences.

Reset Procedure:

1. Close Lightroom.

2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.

3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.

4. Close Lightroom.

5. Restart Lightroom.
