Missing post

Hi there,

Over the past two or three weeks I’ve been having a detailed back-and-forth with a number of very helpful Adobe staff who have been trying to assist me with a bug. This has been taking place in the Lightroom CC forum. This process has included, at one stage, receiving a direct message from an Adobe staff member. However, having logged in again to view the forum conversation/DM, I now see that my bug report seems to have disappeared. Older posts are still listed in my activity, but the lengthy and more recent bug report forum discussion has vanished. And when I check my DMs it says I don’t have any messages. While it’s true I likely don’t have any new/unread messages, it doesn’t display the message I received a few days ago.

I was going to tag the specific staff members I had been liaising with, but when I go to tag adobe staff using the @ function, it no longer shows a dropdown box that I can select from.

I note that the Adobe community has received a fresh new look etc, and likely lots of complicated stuff behind the scenes, so I assume this is linked to my issues. Gratefukl for any assistance.

Thanks

Andy

    Hi @Andy Baines,

Sorry for the delayed response. I definitely remember working with you on the T20200914 error and the AI mask warning issue. Aleke and I were coordinating on that thread before the migration.

Based on the internal discussion with the product team, here is where we stand and the next step.

    What we know:

    • The affected photos are DSLR RAW files imported via Lightroom Desktop (cloud).

    • The same photos show no errors on Desktop.

    • Lightroom Web shows no sync issues.

    • The red exclamation mark and mask warnings appear only on Lightroom iOS.

    • AI mask updates fail on iOS, but masks are still editable.

    From engineering:

    • The yellow mask warning indicates that the image settings are not fully in sync.

    • They would like to inspect one of the affected images directly.

The team has created a private shared album where you can add the problematic images so they can inspect the asset state directly. They have approved your access.

Once one of the affected images is in the shared album, the team can inspect the masking metadata and sync state directly.

I appreciate your patience through all of this. Let’s add the affected images to the shared album and move this forward properly.

    Best regards,

    Anshul Saini

    @Andy Baines

when I check my DMs it says I don’t have any messages

Adobe made the decision not to port over private messages due to security concerns. Unfortunately they are gone and cannot be retrieved.

Feel free to start a new topic in LR CC to pick up where you got interrupted by the new platform migration. It might be several weeks for all the recent posts to get ported over.  It’s a work in progress...

How about Adobe feel free to have these forums actually functional before making such pithy suggestions?
