So if I am on the road and want to begin editing my photos on IPad....

I import to LR mobile...do my stuff....

Then, I get home and use my desktop where I prefer LR classic.

1-I assume that my original raw files are in the cloud

2-how do I get these edited original files (hopefully automatically) onto my hard drive on my desktop

Correct answer Rob_Cullen

"how do I get these edited original files (hopefully automatically) onto my hard drive on my desktop?"

1) Run Lightroom-Classic on your Desktop

2) Go to Preferences - Tab > Lightroom Sync

3) Specify Location and [CHOOSE] a Folder on your Hard-drive where you want your files to Download.

4) Set a Sub-folder option (if wanted).

5) Turn SYNC 'on' with the Cloud icon top-right of window.

All your Cloud files will now automatically download to the defined folder/s.

I usually take with me an ordinary SLR camera, in this case a Nikon D3200, and several memory cards and two batteries. This allows you to ensure the maximum volume of the photo. The last time I had a trip to Amsterdam https://businessclassconsolidator.com/destinations/business-class-flights-to-europe-netherlands-amsterdam/ I was short of 2 GB of memory, but I got a cheap memory card from local merchants, which fully satisfied my needs. And already at home, in a calm environment, I am engaged in photo processing

In addition to my usual gear, which includes a Nikon D3200 SLR camera, multiple memory cards, and two batteries, I've learned the importance of being prepared for unexpected situations. For instance, I ran out of storage and needed an extra 2 GB of memory. This experience taught me the value of local resources, as I was able to find an affordable memory card from a nearby merchant. Back home, the peaceful environment is perfect for dedicating time to carefully process and enhance my photographs, bringing out the best in each shot.

Thanks

I found my issue. There were some sucking errors that were keeping my originals from downloading.

Once I cleared those it worked like it was supposed to.
