Moving from LrC to LR on local; having export issues

Now that LR has that Local tab, I finally get to make the switch and so far am loving it!

One glitch.  LrC (Windows) would let me make the image name I wanted which was a custom name (which changed for each group of photos) plus the original file name which was my image number and shot date.  Yes, it's a long file name but it's really what I need.  I haven't found a way to do a two step type of file name like that in LR.  Am I missing something?  I sure hope so.

If that's not an option now, it should be! 🙂

And, if it is not, what's a reasonable workaround?  I don't think I can do the export I need in Bridge.  Do I have to somehow go back to LrC?  Will I have my edits?  If I have to sit through that annoying Sync stuff in LrC to get the edits, I think that will defeat the purpose of my changing apps.  Please, tell me someon has found a great workaround!
