Question

Moving to next picture takes 10 seconds

Hey there,

I have a MacBook Air M2 (256gb / 8gb) and have been using Lightroom (Desktop, not Classic) for a while now with no issues. Then, today, I have added a new album (12mp JPG from a Samsung Galaxy S24) and it hangs/lags for ages - seemimgly using 115% of the CPU?

Things I've tried so far:

- reboot

- uninstalling all Adobe products, and reinstalling just Lightroom

Just from rejecting a picture to moving to the next I get the spinning-beach-ball-thing for around 10 seconds. As I mentioned, my last use of it was near seamless. It's unworkable at present.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Gareth
