My edit is gone - LR Version 3.3 Windows 10

Hi community, 

I just bought lightroom cc and was previously using lightroom classic. I still struggle with the new design so I hope my solution is just a click somewhere. However, I tried to search the internet but have not found a solution. 

Here is my issue: 

- Yesterday I edited a photo in lightroom cc. I exported it as a jpeg to my desktop. The original file is still in the original folder. When I checked my photo today, I wanted to change a little on the editing. So I went into lightroom. But all my editing from yesterday is gone. Further, when I search in the library the photo is still there, but as a raw file without any edits. 

Any help is appreciated.
