With the new version the icons which appeared on the photos in the develop module no longer show up. No crop or photo adjustments.  Also the information above the photo with date, file size no longer appears

Your screen-clip looks like some kind of window that only shows part of the LrC interface. Maybe a Mac person can suggest why this can happen. I cannot explain it, I cannot reproduce in my Windows system.

For the LrC interface try some of the keyboard shortcuts-

Cmd+Opt+F   Revert to Normal screen Mode.

    Shift+F     toggle through screen modes.

Cmd+Shift+F       Full screen and hide panels.

One oddity I do  note is that you have your catalog in the Applications path. I thought this would be unusual, and I suggest moving the .LRCAT catalog file to another folder such as ‘Documents’.

So what “new version” do you have?  Insert an image of the screen you see from HELP > SYSTEM INFO...

Sounds a bit like you have installed ‘Lightroom’ when you are expecting to see ‘Lightroom-Classic’.

‘Lightroom’ does not have a Develop Module (only an [Edit] icon.)

And this is an image in Lightroom, in Square Grid View:

Looks like someone is having the same problem as me. What is the solution. This is so frustrating.
